In the match between Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants, Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Chennai Super Kings led by MS Dhoni. But CSK got off to a flying start with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway setting the stage for a massive score. Despite Gaikwad's exit, Rayudu and Dhoni's late efforts helped CSK to reach a gigantic total of 217/7 in their 20 overs.

Lucknow Super Giants started their chase with a bang thanks to KL Rahul and Kayel Mayers, who set the tone with some explosive batting. Mayers smashed a quick 50 off just 21 balls to keep their team in the hunt. However, LSG lost wickets at regular intervals and couldn't keep up with the required run rate, ultimately falling short by 12 runs. Moeen Ali was the star for CSK, taking four wickets and leading his team to victory.
